Autumn is in the air!

This week we started cooling down in the evenings.  It has been a glorious change and we are finally back to enjoying morning coffee outdoors on the weekends and dinner or a glass of wine on the patio in the evening.

Kids are back in school and it reminded me the seasons are changing so time to change the door decoration.  After being inspired by a wreath I saw on Pinterest, a trip to Michael’s for supplies, this is what developed:

I used a wire wreath form, 2 spools of 4″ wide burlap ribbon,  4 burlap birds on clips, burnt orange and green bow ribbon,  and 4 autumn berry/mini pumpkin sprigs.  I plan to continue to use the burlap wreath base and change out the decorations seasonally.  Don’t hate on the somewhat ugly door…it’s original to the 1934 Tudor style house we currently live in.  The house is wonderful so it’s easy to deal with an ugly door!
